The “Nice” List: Part 2

Continuing from Part 1 and highlighting more hoopers I’ve watched in-person this season in college basketball.

Bryce Harris - Guard - Howard

One of the most accomplished players in the MEAC, Harris is a big guard who is unafraid to crash the boards. Easily one of the strongest guards at the Division 1 level.

Harris has a complete game and raises the play of those around him. If you are lucky enough to keep him out of the lane, he’s also got a jumper that can make you pay.

Zennia Thomas — Howard

In my opinion, Zennia is one of the most underrated players in the country on one of the most underrated teams in college basketball.

Howard’s women’s team is off to an impressive 10-5 start and should carry high expectations in conference play because of players like Thomas.

A forward who can put the ball in the basket in bunches and is always a double-double threat every single night.

Zahirah Walton - Guard - George Mason

Walton has a full scorer’s bag, especially when putting the ball on the floor. She’s shown the ability to score from all three levels and uses crafty footwork to carve out space in the lane.

She’s the type of player who gives you a chance to win against anyone and is primed to continue top-tier scoring in conference play.

She dropped a career high of 42 points against Murray State and is must-watch basketball the rest of the season.

Madison St. Rose - Guard- Princeton

St. Rose is continuing a strong bounce-back season after an ACL tear last year. She fits Princeton’s mentality on both ends of the floor and fully embodies the Tigers’ mantra to “Get stops” defensively.

A tough shot-maker who excels at getting to her spots, she keeps defenses honest with her unpredictability.

Fadima Tall - Forward- Princeton

The Georgetown Visitation product is a Swiss Army knife at the forward position. Tall has a smooth jumper, the size to play in the post, can defend, and has the ability to go coast-to-coast after battling on the boards.

A big reason why Princeton is sitting at No. 25 on the latest AP Women’s basketball ranking.

Brent Bland - Guard - Saint Peter’s

A sharpshooter who moves well without the ball, Bland provides a cool, calm, and collected veteran presence for the Saint Peter’s Peacocks.

His scoring has taken a leap this season as he’s seen increased opportunity, blossoming into one of the MAAC’s best guards.

James Crimaudo - Guard -St. Mary’s (MD)

As one of the bright spots in the St. Mary’s game against Howard when he had 17 points, I was really impressed with how Crimaudo didn’t run from any smoke, despite his team being outmatched by the Bison.

He possesses good size at the guard position, and there are plenty of tools in the scoring bag that I believe he’ll only develop and sharpen during his collegiate career.
